Alarm Default
This is the default screen when adding a new alarm. The default background color and picture can be set in the preferences screen.

When you select a different alarm action (eg email, backup, ftp) the bottom portion of the screen automatically changes so the relevant data can be entered.
There are twelve options available

1) Pop up note. At the date/time of the alarm a note will pop up on the screen. With this option you can also optionally play a sound at the same time.

You can also set the note properties (ie wallpaper, background color, text font and color)

Wallpaper - Enter the path to a picture. Most formats are supported (JPG, GIF, BMP) The picture can be stretched, tiled, or centered in the pop up note.
Background Colour - Select the background colour of the pop up note
Text Font & Colour - Select the font, size, and colour of the entered text

Pop up notes can be individually resized when they are executed.

If desired pop up notes can be automatically snoozed.

2) Run a program. At the date/time of the alarm Kirby Alarm will run the selected program. With this option you can also optionally play a sound at the same time, and to start the program minimized.

3) Sound Alarm. At the date/time of the alarm Kirby Alarm will play the selected file.

4) Email. At the date/time of the alarm Kirby Alarm will send an email. This option requires that the email server details have been set up in the preferences screen.
Multiple email addresses can be entered by inserting a semi colon between each address. Eg person1@server.com;person2@server.com
Multiple attachments can be entered by inserting a semi colon between each file
Wildcards are also supported. eg "c:my documents*.doc"
Please note you must be connected to the internet for emails to be sent.

5) Say Message At the date/time of the alarm Kirby Alarm will use the microsoft speech engine to read the contents of the pop up note out load.

6) Shutdown Shuts down the computer.

7) Log Off Logs you out of windows

8) Backup Performs a backup based on the entered criteria. It will copy files (or folders) from one location to another.
Backups can be a straight copy or to a zip file.

9) FTP Uploads (or downloads) a file to a remote computer.

10) Say Time At the date/time of the alarm Kirby Alarm will use the microsoft speech engine to pronounce the current time.

11) Restart Restarts your computer

12) Open File Opens an exiting file using the windows associated program. The file MUST exist, and MUST have a file association set up for it.

13) Open Web Page. This function can also be used to start a web page. eg http://www.kirbyfooty.com
