Email messages never go out if

1- I don?t tell Outlook (or Windows) to allow another program to send the email,

2- You dont have a place to introduce a username and password for the outgoing server ( I tried to bypass Outlook by going directly to smtp server, but this requires authentication at the server and I didn?t find any setting for that in Kirby Alarm. Did I miss something in the settings or what?

Hi Gregorio

But the current version of Kirby Alarm does not cater for sending emails via smtp when the outgoing server requires a password.
For the time being I'm sorry but you are stuck with sending emails via your email client.

The password issue will be resolved in a future version.

Sorry I could not be of more help.

Not helpful, I'm afraid.  Pegasus does not want to have a THING to do with Kirby.  Won't even launch.

Further to my previous reply: When I tick 'use the email client' and then try to send a test email for a reminder I get this:

Mapi Error Text for -2147467259 is not defined
Error number 2147500037

I get that no matter whether I've filled out the SMTP fields or no.  And yes, sendmail is available on my host's server at /usr/sbin/sendmail.  That doesn't work either.

Sorry, but the free version of Kirby Alarm does not allow for passwords on sending emails.

This has been fixed in the pro version of Kirby Alarm (plus MANY other great new features)
For more details on Kirby Alarm Pro check out http://www.kirbyfooty.com/html/kirby_alarm_pro.html

Kirby Alarm Pro LITE only costs $10.95, and you can try it free for 30 days before you purchase.

Kind regards
Ian
