Great program.

Have a problem with the FTP download I can not delete the source files.
Here you can see the Log files from the FTP download.

Processing  InputRaw/ER_NL_20061208_174415_VTT09367_ROTC.raw
Downloading  E:auditinputER_NL_20061208_174415_VTT09367_ROTC.raw
Deleting source... ER_NL_20061208_174415_VTT09367_ROTC.raw
Problem deleting source  ER_NL_20061208_174415_VTT09367_ROTC.raw

By connecting manualy its work fine
226 Transfer complete.
ftp: 12101 bytes received in 3.36Seconds 3.60Kbytes/sec.
ftp> del ER_NL_20061208_174415_VTT09367_ROTC.raw
250 DELE command successful.

Something else will it be possible to have a rename function in the ftpdownload?

Thanks

Hi,
Thanks for the kind feedback.

The ftp download and delete function works ok on my server.
This is probably stating the obvious, but are you sure you are using the SAME user name to log into the ftp server in kirby alarm and when you do it manually?

With regard to your suggestion for renaming the files to say *.txt after being transferred then yes, this is certainly is possible.
I will add it to my to do list. It may take a while before I can get to it though.

Kind regards
Ian

PS. If you are in a rush for the rename option, then I am always willing to do a custom change for you for an hourly fee. Contact me if you are interested.

Thanks for the fast reply !
Regarding the FTP delete if its working fine for you then something must be wrong on my side will need to investigate more the why . Thanks.
The renaming yes its kind of in a hurry can you sent me a email with how long and how much it will take ?
Also maybe its in already ( not tested yet ) if you can add a own script for downloading [FTP] something like
1.connect
2.cd /Directory_1
3. Download  [ currendate /YYMMDD.dat]
4. Rename  [ currendate/YYMMDD][Directory_1]-[ Test].dat
5. CD/Directory_2
6. Download  [ currendate /YYMMDD.dat]
7. Rename  [ currendate/YYMMDD][Directory_1]-[ Test].dat
Ect.

I will send you an email regarding the custom change.

The ftp function does not have the feature you suggested regarding scripting.
For the time being you would need to create tow separate alarms.
One alarm would do steps 1,2,3, and 4.
The other other would do steps 5,6, and 7.

On closer examination of your example I see the file name is changed each day with todays date.
The only workaround I can think of at present is to use the option to process files changed in the past day (or two days, etc) and the wildcard.
ie download *.dat files that have changed in the past day.

Kind regards
Ian
