Hi Steve
having problems with users who have Hotmail email accounts (2) and 1 using Windows live. They receive the tipping sheet OK but can't enter selections and return,

I'm using MY mail email settings for sendout/return. Is there any advantages in using your preferred method
Not really. As long as the emails with the tipping sheets are sent out then that is the most important thing.
If the settings you have chosen work, and you are happy with it, then I would continue doing what you are doing.
I use the internal method because it does not rely on external email programs that may have different security settings. For example I know Microsoft Outlook will always come up with a security message that another program is trying to send email through it. For me this was a real pain is the butt.
Some internet security programs also prevent other programs from directly sending emails through your email program.
At the end of the day you have to decide which is easier for you.
As I said before the main thing is the tippers get the tipping sheets ok.
Ian
