painted,
Let me jump in here.

Ian has written . . .
>>Of course you can make a backup of the program.
>>In fact if you backup and restore the entire kirby alarm pro folder, then there is no need to re enter the registration code.

I followed this procedure just yesterday.  Worked perfectly.  No errors.  No registration code needed.  No problems with administrative rights.

2 caveats
  1) I moved the files from one PC to another (new) PC.  Flawless.
  2) Make sure the destination is IDENTICAL to the old.  Same folder/subfolders - spelling identical.

Don't give up.  I suspect a small overlooked problem (at least that's my problem most of the time).

What I have found to be the problem is Windows XP writes files as read-only.  I just upgraded from Windows 98 a couple of weeks ago.  Have found interesting discussion on this problem on C-Net.http://forums.cnet.com/5208-6122_102-0.html?forumID=7&threadID=37057&messageID=432144

Thanks for all your help!

I have released a new version of kirby alarm. Version 4.45 has removed the requirement to enter the registration code within 30 days.
You can now use the original registration code regardless of when it was issued.

THANK YOU!

I've been lucky so far in not having to do a format and reinstall since I bought a license for KA.  I've been worried about possibly driving you crazy by asking for a new code once every couple of months.  <g>

Hi Sales11

Just download and update to the latest version v4.45 http://www.kirbyfooty.com/downloadkirbyalarmpro.php

I have removed the requirement to enter the registration code within 30 days.

This means you can now use the original registration code regardless of when it was issued.
