I want to run ka almost invisibly, for security reasons.? I've already got it running as a service.? Can I at least run it as user A without user B being able to see it when he is logged in?? Is there any way to get rid of the taskbar icon?

There are a couple of options..

Option 1 - Run Kirby Alarm as a service BUT with the service user type as custom. You set this is the Kirby Alarm preferences in the service tab
The advantage of this is KA will always run as user A.
The downside is there is NO desktop access. ie no popup note reminders.
It will however still send automatic emails, run backup, do ftp, shutdown, restart etc etc
(see below for a screen shot)

Option 2 - Turn on the password option in the KA preferences in the general tab.
Using this option you can still have desktop access (ie pop up notes etc).
Even though the icon will still be their, the user will not be able to see the main screen (or add/modify/delete alarms etc), unless they enter the password.
(see below for a screen shot)

I hope helps.

Kind regards
