In the preferences sections there is an option to use your email client (eg outook express) to send the emails.
If you do NOT tick it then you must enter the email parameters (eg you email domain server, reply address, port number). Kirby Alarm will then send the emails using a built in function via smtp.
Please note this option will not work if your internet service provider requires authenication for send emails via smtp. Mine does not, but yours may..
If you DO tick it then the emails will be sent via you email client.
Now, to stop the security message from coming up there is a setting in Outlook Express that warns when other applications are trying to use it to send email.
To turn it off just go into Tools / Options / Seculity, and untick the checkbox.
Hope this helps!
Ian
