yes I think a charge of $1 per person is a reasonable for charge for your program.

Doctor Who,

this had better be ten times as better a last years version!

Why are you sounding so bitter?
Please, I don't want you to feel like you HAVE to pay anything.
I have done my best. It is up to you to decide if you think it is cost effective or not to pay for it.
In any case, you can try the program up to round 3 of the comp BEFORE you pay a cent.
Surely I cannot be any fairer than that.
The choice is yours.

Hi Ian,

I have used your software for the last 3 years and am happy to pay for the excellent program you have created. Before then I used to run a manual footy tippy comp and spend so much time organising it. Your software saves me time and as we know "time is money" . I'm happy to donate my money for your daughters braces , as where I work my company relies on me to run the footy comp each year. It becomes the water cooler talk each Monday morning and we can't wait for the season to begin.
Thanks Mate

Thanks very much Anthony.
I really appreciate the sentiment but please don't pay anymore than what you have to.
I hope to continue developing the program for many years to come.
Who knows where it will end up <grin>

Hi Ian,

The software is excellent so I think it is only fair that you charge a fee to use it.
At around $1 a tipper it is still great value.

Thanks for all your hard work

Hi Ivan,
Given the majority of people seem to think the prices are fair, then yes, the prices are final.
I hope that's ok with you.

Kind regards
Ian Cheesy

Hi Ian

You have done a great job.
I like the freedom that the programme gives me. Last year in an emergency I accepted tips via SMS then keyed them in on Monday. My tippers love that at 5pm on a Friday at the Pub they can send in their tips if they have forgotten. Can't do that on the web.

Yes I am happy with it to, and I have had no problems with asking the tippers in our comp for the extra $1 to cover using it, and I was a bit apprahensive to start with....

So Dr Who get over it, its Ian's software he can do what he wants, if you dont like then go and use something else, surely you tippers can handle another $1...

What have I done to deserve this kind of attitude from you?
Is it because I didn't accept your suggestion to charge a flat $20?
If I have offended you I am sorry.
I have tried to be fair and reasonable to everyone (myself and family included).
In response your comment about the price going up, I don't think so.
The program has been freeware for over 4 years.
So I am asking you, please, can you just accept the fact that now (due to a change in my personal circumstances) I want to start charging a relatively small fee for the program, and move on from there.
Thank you.
