Error 47 is an invalid record declaration. In plain english this just means the fields in the alarms file are different to the fields the program is expecting.

To install KA on another computer is really easy.
You just copy everything in the KA folder from the old computer to the new one.

Maybe the files are not copying across because they are use.
I suggest making doubly sure that kirbyalarmpro.exe is not running (use windows take manager if you have to).
Then copy the entire KA folder from the old computer to the new one.

If you get really stuck then let me know and we could arrange a suitable time to remotely connect to your computer and fix it for you.

I'm trying to move my program & alarms to a win 7 comptuer from XP.  I have followed your suggestion to install in c:\KAP and copy from my XP to the new folder.  I have tried several times & uninstalled, reinstalled then copied everything from the XP system and cannot get it to work.  On starting I get an error "File ALARMS could not be opened, ErrorInvalid Record Declaration(47) Press OK to end this application".
I have copied the entire folder since I upgraded to 5.01 years ago and import won't work due to different versions.
Wbat can I do to get my life back in order?

I just upgraded to Windows 10 version 1703 aka "Creators Update"

After the update was complete I shutdown normally.  When I rebooted Kirby Alarm was not running and there was no KA icon in the system tray but "Kirby Alarm Pro (32 bit)" was in the Task Manager"  So I did an "end task" and started KA manually from File Explorer.  Now KA came up normally.  So I did a Windows restart and this time KA came up as usual.  I have no idea of why it didn't start on the first boot after the upgrade.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention.
I will change the program asap to remove the deleted tippers from the file.

In the mean time, can you please send me the members.tps file.
I will remove the 'ghost' member and then send the file back to you.

Hi Ian. Have downloaded setup and running the software thanks. This year we have 10 members so are very lucky to get the free use of your software however I suspect we are growing and next year will be to paid version.

However in entering members, the software skipped a number (5) so is showing 11 members when we only have 10. I cannot find anywhere how to remove a "ghost" member we don't have. My 9 year old is running this for family and friends so I am trying to fix for him before it hits catastrophe next week when demo version ends.

I even started to go for the awful process of uninstalling and reinstalling and entering all members again and their tips for round 1 and 2 but cannot even locate the administer software to uninstall in the list of apps/software (Windows 10). I found and uninstalled the client but I figured it should be far easier than this. Somehow I must be able to remove the ghost member number 5 which does not show on the members list.

Thanks for any assistance and great software we will continue to utilise  Smiley

Perfect, thanks for that Ian.

I'm covering all bases basically in regards to entering data, as I don't follow football, its a tad alien to me in the first instance. Implemented the tipping competition at my workplace for staff, for a a bit of workplace fun.

Appreciate your help

Hi Rodd

The link loads the web page for you.

You then need to enter the results of each game.

I have attached a screen shot of what I have entered for this weeks games thus far.

Does that help?

Hi, I am making sure I am doing this properly.

What I need to know is when manually entering the points of each game, am I required to enter points for each team or just the winning team?

I cannot download the Competition Results page from the hyperlink on the results page and/or am I doing something wrong?

does the free version provide full functionality?
yes, 100% full functionality. No ads, no pop ups.

I am having no luck with email configuration.
In most cases the internal method is the best method to use. Outlook is forever tightening their security (understandably). The smtp settings in the outlook account settings should give you a clue as to what to use.
If you are still stuck, then I am happy to give you a call and then connect to your computer so we fix it together.
Send me an email with your contact details Smiley
