Thank you Ian.  I finally broke down and got a smartphone this past year and am so glad I've never stopped using KA.  I just don't know what I would have done for the past decade without it!  Looking forward to new versions...

Hi Bob

Alas, exporting and then importing from/to a csv file is something that is missing from kirby alarm.
It is actually reasonably complicated, but can be done Smiley

Creating a 'category' for each alarm is also something not in the current version.
It would be VERY easy to do.

My normal work is slowing down, so I having more free time to start giving kirby some love again.
I will add you suggestions to my to do list.

Ian

Ian:

I have been unable to find how to export all pending alarms to a csv (or any other format for that matter) in 5.01 PRO.  I can export everything that has been executed but would like to take the pending alarms into excel, make changes to them and then import them.  I have learned the hard way it is difficult to find alarms as I have been setting them up over the years and decided to start every alarm with a category name, i.e. DOCTOR, BILL, CC DUE, BD, ANNIV etc.

This could also be turned into a suggestion for having a "category" flag for alarms although I suspect that would not be such a simple job.

Your thoughts are appreciated.

Agreed, Classic Shell is a must. I should add WinAero Tweaker is another if you want Windows 10 to run like Win 7, and again it's free. Here's a list of what it offers.

Hi Eugene

I find windows 10 to be very stable, however I still have trouble navigating the new menu style.
To overcome this I installed Classic Shell. (http://www.classicshell.net/)
This wonderful piece of software took away all my frustration of finding things in windows 10 Smiley
Best of all.. it's free!

PS. Before upgrading to windows 10 I recommend you ensure your printers etc are windows 10 compatible.
I had to replace mine because there was not a windows 10 driver for it.

Thanks for the heads up. I'm a bit hesitant of upgrading to Win 10, not just because of Kirby. I'm just glad it's working as it's one less thing I'll have to worry about when I eventually do switch.

Hi Rockfox

I see the problem with the snooze function.
It is creating another alarm ok, but the action type is incorrect.
It is resetting to 'Pop up Note' .
It should be whatever the original alarm was.

I will be working on an update soon.

I have an alarm with "Action" Run Program along with Pop Up Note.  I expected that the note would pop up and if I click Dismiss the program would run and if I click Snooze the program would not run until the next alarm time.

What actually happens is that the note pops up AND the program runs.  I click Snooze for 1 hour.  This creates an alarm with ONLY the Pop Up Note, i.e, the Action is forgotten.

When there is both an Action and a Pop Up Note the Action should not be performed until there is a response to the Pop Up Note.

I also tested this with "Action" Open Web Page and Open Document along with Pop Up Note.  I click Snooze and closed the web page and document.  When the Snooze time expired neither the web page or the document re-opened.

Hi Rockfox

I think you can already do that.
ie perform an action AND pop up the note.

Yep. A number of people have requested an advance warning type alarm.

I really hope to give KA some love again soon.
I am not as busy as I used to be, so will have more time available  Smiley
